So you want to know about us eh? :-) Well here is a little story about us!

Who developed Favvys?

Favvys is originally developed by Niels Bartels and Martijn Cappon. We met each other at high school and are friends ever since. We are both working in the web-development business. Martijn is the HTML / CSS / Photoshop hero while Niels is programming a bit and writing long stories like this one ;-)

History

A long time ago.... (2004) before Favvys.com was launched we developed in fact a similar concept and named it: personalstartpage.net. Back then we did not have the knowledge to build something advanced and user friendly at the same time but hell we did give it a try. Over the years we registered around 150 people for personalstartpage.net. No it's not much but we where having fun anyway :-)

The Favvys year... 2009

Begin 2009 we decided to rebuild the personal startpage concept and named it favvys.com We have no idea why no one had registered this domain yet, but we where glad it was still free :-)

After months of hard work we are finally launching the new startpage concept. Building a customizable color scheme, background images, sortable bookmarks, RSS / Atom feeds and so much more. In the upcoming months we will build even more widgets that you can add to your favvys page like: images, notepads, youtube video's, twitter tweets and so on and on.... If you have a good idea, feel free to share it with us.
